How much do dental implants cost?

How much do dental implants cost?

The cost of dental implant treatment depends on the complexity of the treatment required and the demands of what the patient wants and needs and this is also reflected in who delivers the treatment, how experienced they are, how skilled they are, what components they use and what sort of guarantee they offer for the treatment; to give the patient peace of mind.

Here at The Campbell, we are often asked 'how much do dental implants cost?' This is a difficult question and we field the question a lot because patients want an indication of where they're going to be can they afford the treatment and I completely appreciate that but it's very much like someone phoning up and saying "can you landscape my garden and how much will it be" and of course, without seeing the garden, it's impossible to give even a range of what the cost might be so, we have to see patients before we can give them any sort of clear indication of what might be involved in the treatment because there may be aspects of the treatment that they weren't aware of or that they don't understand, to make sure things are safe and secure.

What is a dental implant?

A dental implant is essentially a screw which is very carefully inserted into a patient's jaw to allow connection to an artificial tooth/denture. The vast majority of dental implants are metal (titanium) which is a similar technology to artificial hips and knees. To find out more, visit our Patient's Guide to dental implants.

Three Levels of Treatment at The Campbell Clinic

At The Campbell Clinic in Nottingham, we are very keen to offer out the ability to have dental implant treatment here to the widest possible range of people so, we have introduced three levels of treatment at the practice. The first level is our premium level of treatment which is carried out by the clinicians with the greatest amount of experience. Our most experienced clinicians oversee the planning and execute the treatment using the best possible components. Dental implants are not all the same and there are different cost points where we buy implants and components that go with them. Our level one treatment has a 10-year guarantee which is an extraordinary guarantee for any product, so we know that we’re manufacturing the whole set up to the highest possible level.

Level 1 Implant Treatment

Level 1 treatment is carried out by one of our senior clinicians who are either expert or specialist level and who have been involved in 1000’s of implant procedures. This level includes a 10-year guarantee for patients that undergo the recommended maintenance using the best Straumann dental implant components including bespoke components and technical support for patients at this level.

  • 10-year guarantee

Our Level 1 treatment is not for everyone which is why we also provide a level 2 and level 3 treatment option.

Level 2 Implant Treatment

Level 2 treatment is carried out by clinicians within our multi-disciplinary team and under the supervision of the more senior clinicians. This treatment includes a 5-year guarantee for patients that undergo the recommended maintenance and uses all Straumann dental implants components.

  • 5-year guarantee
  • The Campbell Clinic Implant Clinician treatment provided Specialist Led service

Level 3 Implant Treatment

For some patients who are suitable, we have a level three treatment option which is where patients are included on our Academy courses, where we train qualified dentists to provide dental implant treatment and that is supported by the implant supply companies that we are associated with. This is an extremely inexpensive way to access dental implant treatment which is guaranteed for 1 year and for the right patient, in the right circumstances, this level is a really affordable way to access fantastic treatment.

  • 1-year guarantee (Implant from place date / crown from fit date)
  • Straumann SLActive implant
