Parking
Patient parking is available immediately outside the practice, including 2 disabled parking bays and space to drop off patients.
Entrance
The name of the practice is clearly visible from the main road, and upon approach to the building.
The curb is dropped in the area closest to the disabled parking bays, and the pavement to the entrance is level. The building has double automatic doors at street level, providing easy access for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
Reception
Reception signage is clear, and the waiting area is spacious and well-lit. Chairs and tables are all movable, so that wheelchair users can sit alongside other patients.
The reception counter does not have low level access upon approach, but reception staff will welcome wheelchair users at the door. In addition, just off the main waiting area there is a Treatment Coordinator room with disabled access and low level tables which is available for any private conversations and to take payments.
Surgeries
All treatment rooms are on the ground floor, with level access throughout the building.
Doors
Double entrance doors are automatic. Doors to surgeries have dark frames to stand out from surrounding walls, and are wide enough for wheelchairs.
Toilets
There is a low-level toilet and sink with a handrail designed for use by wheelchair users. An emergency assistance pull cord is provided.
